Protests Against Islamic State of Iraq and Levant's Frequent Violations

Rejected by both opposition and pro-regime groups, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant doesn't seem to be making any progress regarding its influence in Syria among the population of the liberated areas particularly, following several kidnap incidents, the last one being of jesuit priest Father Paolo Dall'Oglio in Raqqa. On Tuesday, a number of activists gathered in Aleppo in front of ISIS's headquarters in protest of the recent arrest of a famous civil rights activist and the Islamic State's continuous transgressions.

Demonstration in Raqqa Demanding Ceasefire Between Rebels and Islamic State Goes Violent

According to several sources in Raqqa, an armed group affilated with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant has allegedly opened fire at civilians during a demonstration held in the main square of the city aimed at demanding a ceasefire agreement between the currently fighting oppostion groups.

Below is video footage posted online by activists that purport to show protesters in a state of panic following the attack

During the protest that broke out in Raqqa to demand termination of fighting between rebles and ISIS members.

FSA "Ahfad Ar-Rasul Brigades" accused the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant of being allied with the Assad regime. This allegation comes after Ahfad Ar-rasul captured a number of ISIS -AL-Qaeda associated-group, who admitted to working with the regime and Iranian intelligence.
